The
Cup of Love
Congratulations my friend you
have found the Holy Grail and discovered the highest truth - Love.
Do not be deceived if you think this a trivial or sentimental solution.
Love really is the most
powerful force in the universe for it comes of union with another, union
with many others or even union with your world or the whole universe.
It is a paradox that the more you give up your own selfish desires to
work for a larger whole, the more power is given you to accomplish your
goals.
Love is also the fountain of
meaning in life. Can you look inside yourelf and think of any other thing
that gives you more meaning or validation than the love of your partner,
friends and family?
And not only personal meaning but for society. Any philosophy of living
which does not have love as its centre, love not just for the family,
tribe or nation but love for all life, is doomed to ultimate failure.
There is another hidden meaning
to the Grail. In fact two more.
They both rest on the metaphor of the cup as womb. The first points to
the holy royal bloodline (real or symbolic: the priest or philosopher
king) and the second points to the chymical wedding, the spiritual transcendance,
goal of alchemy, known as tantra.
Nuff said?

turn your back on love"
